![]() When I could photograph the painting vertically, I was bothered by the strong hot area on the upper right. In fact, I can see a face... I don't like that! So, more layers have been poured this morning. I really enjoy the process so much, but sometimes I wonder if it will come together, will I over work it... there are so many decisions to make when making art.... I will post the next layers when they are dry enough to take a photo. It's a Monday morning, a good day to be sure the hours are kept in the studio. I like to do at least 5 - 6 hours, but many days are much longer. That's okay since it means that I working. I am a believer that any work in the studio leads to more work in the studio. It is part of life and can't be pushed to the back burner. When I run out of room to paint in the studio, I paint in the kitchen, breakfast room etc. The more ideas that I am working on, the more ideas that come to my mind... Obviously, I am also trying to be better about the blogging and website updates. It's a good way to share and to get my thoughts together about the direction of my work. Happy Monday all!! Here it's raining, but the sun is out. I have heard on days like the the devil gets his due.. (-; Sue

AuthorSue moved to Lucas, TX in 2019, after may years in Houston. Burke Studio continues, just a new location!! She was born in Michigan, but has lived in many states since. In Texas there is a saying, I wasn't born here, but I got here as soon as I could! It has become home in every way. Houston has such a vibrant art scene, it's a great place to be for an artist! There are always art shows to see as well as fellow artists to share with and I am fortunate to have family nearby. Archives
